All of our city based chores are now complete and at last we can return back home to Echo Valley Ranch.
Our first stop was at Park Tilford to buy some snacks for the road and mushrooms for tomorrow’s breakfast, then to Highway 1 and the start of our 425 km journey to EVR.
During the drive back it occurred to me that it would be a good idea to elaborate on all of the places of interest that one could stop along the way, I will save that for another blog though since, to do it justice, it will take up more time than I want to give it right now, so many places and history to cover.
Instead, the following pictures will have to suffice; they show the big change in scene as we drove from one place to another, the scene on the road!
It is raining, of course, but the traffic is light as we set off from Vancouver.
The road ahead is clear, and wet!
Shortly after passing through Yale is the first tunnel
This is the first of two new billboards that we put up for EVR, they are just before you enter the town of Clinton and 50 km from the ranch.
This is the other billboard – which one do you like the best?
How’s this for a big change of scene! We are on Kelly Lake road and about 40 KM from Echo Valley Ranch & Spa, there is snow all around and – A CATTLE DRIVE coming straight towards us
We pull over to let all of the cows pass and then complete our drive home
